Tomislav

Tomislav will be graduating from St. Martin de Porres High School this May. At school, he is actively involved in a photography club, baseball, and the school’s recruiting team.

As a soon-to-be first generation college student, Tomislav greatly enjoyed summer programs he got to attend thanks to Minds Matter’s funding that allowed him to have firsthand experience being on a college campus and taking college courses that were closely related to his interests. Tomislav is also thankful for the relationship that he has built with his mentors, the challenges and robust discussions on different topics that each session at Minds Matter has brought to his Saturdays.

Tomislav has been accepted into six colleges, which includes one out-of-state and five in-state institutions. Tomislav’s academic excellence has earned him multiple merit-based scholarships and a full ride to University of Akron, where he will be attending this Fall! His interest in computers and programming inspires him to plan on majoring in Computer Engineering.
